The Science Bit…
EcoSleeves begin to biodegrade when placed in an environment where active microorganisms are present. Such environments include compost bins, landfills, and even the side of the road. Depending on the conditions where the EcoSleeve is placed, it will biodegrade in approximately 9 months to 5 years. Unlike some other biodegradable products EcoSleeves are unaffected by light, heat, stress or water and they have an indefinite shelf life. It doesn’t break down into tiny plastic bits that float around in the environment, it actually converts back into it’s original form….hydrocarbons.
