3 Simple Recipes to help Celebrate Peanut Butter Day

Did you know that Sunday 24th January is known as National Peanut Butter Day?
Don’t worry, we didn’t either, but now we have the perfect excuse to eat peanut butter goodies – not that we need one. We found this crazy simple recipes to help you Celebrate National Peanut Butter Day.
One Bowl Peanut Butter Oat Cookies
2 ripe bananas
180g of rolled oats
2 tbsp of peanut butter
Preheat the oven to 180C degrees and line your baking tray.
In a large bowl mush the bananas, then mix in the oats and peanut butter.
Spoon the mixture into small mounds on your tray before placing in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
Once golden brown they are ready, leave to cool for a few minutes… if you can!
Peanut Butter Coffee or Latte
1 tbsp Peanut Butter
Simply add the peanut butter or Sweetbird Peanut Butter syrup to your favourite coffee or latte. The peanut butter brings out the nutty flavours of the coffee and creates a nice creamy texture, it’s simple scrumptious. Try it yourself!
No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars
Makes: 16 bars
115g melted salted butter
120g digestive biscuit crumbs
120g confectioners sugar
215g creamy peanut butter (saving 2 tbsp for the topping)
180g chocolate chips
Line a 8” square baking tin with foil and set aside.
Mix the melted butter, digestive biscuit crumbs and sugar in a large bowl.
Stir in the peanut butter and spread equally into the baking tin.
Melt the 2 tbsp of peanut butter with the chocolate chips in the microwave or in a glass bowl over boiling water.
Once smooth spread over the peanut butter layer then chill for at least 3 hours until firm.
