Have you seen this amazingly creative use for our stirrers?

One of our customers uses our wooden coffee stirrers to create these amazing handcraft model ships.
Tony's hobby began by making models of familiar Oil Tankers as he used to worked for a well known oil refinery in Essex.
He says ‘All the models are built on the keel and rib principle and planked with strips of wood of various widths. Some of the supper structure on the older vessels had wood planking on top of the steal plates, these I planked, as can be seen in the photo of the Shell Welder.’
When given drawings of the Mississippi Paddle Streamer Tony thought it would be a nice change from the Oil Tankers. However the real vessel was built of wood planks and he was stumped on what to use for it.
One day on stopping for coffee at a motorway service station he had a eureka moment. The stirring sticks Tony used to for his coffee would make the ideal planking. He now uses the stirrers for wooden decking and planking on all of his model ships and boats.
Take a look at Tony’s beautiful ships and the intricate work involved.
