Caffe Prima Decaffinated Coffee Beans
We use the Co2 Non Solvent approach to deacfinate our coffee beans, This is the proccess by which our beans are soaked in pure water until the coffee bean pores open and the caffeine mollecules become mobile, at this point carbon dioxide is added to the water under pressure (Carbon Dioxide is 100% Natural) this then makes "Sparkling Water"
The carbon dioxide acts like a magnet to the caffeine mollecues and removes them from the coffee bean and into the water, the water is then removed from the process once the beans have been decafinated. The water is now loaded with caffeine and by using the natural process the water byproduct can be used for many other purposes in the food industry and leaves us with premium untainted decafinated coffee beans.
Carbon dioxide is very picky during the process and ensures that only caffeine is removed unlike other processes in which affect the carbohydrates and proteins in the coffee bean which actually give you the flavour profile and aroma when roasted.
We have chosen this method purely for the natural process and the end quality of the product, roasted delicately and precisely it provides our customers with a premium coffee bean that tastes the same in every cup without the headache of caffeine.
The coffee beans have a medium body, tastes of baking chocolate and hazelnut flavours and are ideal for that after dinner drink to ensure your not awake for those extra hours when you go to bed. The coffee is well balanced with a long finnish.
